To get the most out of 3D models and augmented reality (AR), your devices must meet certain requirements. Here’s a guide to what’s needed for iOS/iPadOS and Android devices.

Requirements for iOS/iPadOS

You need an AR-supported device with iOS 11 or later equipped with an A9 chip or later. The following devices are compatible:

iPhone

• Models from iPhone 6s and iPhone SE (1st generation) up to the latest iPhone 15 models.

iPad

• iPad Pro (all generations), iPad Air (3rd generation and later), iPad (5th generation and later), iPad mini (5th generation and later).

LiDAR features, which enhance the AR experience, are available on specific newer models.

Requirements for Android Devices

Android users can enjoy AR experiences through Scene Viewer. Requirements include:

• An ARCore-supported device with Android 7.0 Nougat (API level 24) or later.
• A current version of Google Play Services for AR.
