    Uploading a 3D Space – Here's how

The Space Upload feature allows you to upload your own 3D environments and use them in rooom. Please note that only .gltf/.glb files are supported and the maximum file size is 100 MB.

    1. Go to the Dashboard and open the Spaces section.
    2. Click on Add Space and then Upload in the upper right corner.
    3. Now give your space a name, select a .gltf/.glb file for upload, and click Upload
    4. Wait for the upload to complete. The system will process your model and display the detected dimensions of your space. If necessary, you can scale the space directly.
    5. Click Confirm.

    Scaling a Space after Upload

You can also adjust the size of your space afterward to ensure correct display.

    1. Open the uploaded space in the Space Editor.
    2. Open the space properties and use the scaling options on the right side to adjust the scale.
    3. The changes will be applied immediately.

    Important Notes on Space Upload

    • Only gltf/.glb files can be uploaded.
    • The maximum file size is 100 MB.
    • To ensure realistic proportions, the scaling in your 3D software should already be correct before export. The recommended scale is 1 unit = 1 meter.
    • Avoid unnecessary polygons to optimize loading times.

With these steps, you can easily upload and customize your own 3D spaces in rooom.
