How to regain access to your account – with step-by-step instructions and security tips
If you’ve forgotten the password for your rooom account, you can easily reset it yourself. This guide explains all the steps to quickly regain access – plus helpful information on password rules and security.
Step-by-step: Reset your rooom password
Follow these steps to securely create a new password:
-
Go to the login page
Open app.rooom.com/login. Below the password input field, you’ll find the link “Forgot your password?”. -
Click “Forgot your password?”
Click the link to open the page where you can reset your password. -
Enter your email address
Enter the email address you used to register with rooom. You’ll then receive an email with a link and a reset code that allows you to set a new password. -
Open the link in the email
Go to your inbox and click the link provided. (Tip: Also check your spam folder.) -
Enter the reset code
Enter the reset code from the email on the reset page. For security reasons, the code is only valid for 5 minutes. -
Set a new password
Enter your new password on the reset page and confirm it a second time. Once saved, your old password becomes invalid. -
Log in with your new password
Return to the login page and sign in with your new password. If you use rooom on multiple devices, make sure to update your password there as well.
Security notes & password rules at rooom
To keep your account secure, rooom enforces clear password requirements and best practices:
Password rules
- At least 12 characters long
- At least one number
- At least one special character (e.g. !, #, $, %)
- A mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
These requirements ensure that your password is strong enough to protect against attacks or accidental guessing.
Tips for a secure password
- Avoid easily guessable information (e.g. names, birthdays, simple words).
- Create a memorable yet complex passphrase, such as “MountainSummer!2025LoveCoffee”.
- Use a password manager to securely store strong and unique passwords.
- If you receive a password reset email you didn’t request, change your password immediately.
- Protect your email account especially well, since password reset links are sent there.
