The Space Editor is an optimized editor for the management of 3D Spaces. In this article you will learn the basics of using the new Space Editor.

    Controls & Editing Objects

In the Space Editor, you can move through the space just like in the Space Viewer in first-person view. Use your mouse and the arrow keys on your keyboard (instructions here).

Individual objects can be selected with a double click and edited.

You can also open the object list and click on the desired object to activate editing.

Once you have selected an object, you can use the quick menu (1) at the bottom or the object menu (2) in the right sidebar for editing.

Basic functions like delete, duplicate, lock, show/hide are available via the object list or the quick menu.

In the object menu on the right side, you will find all options for editing the selected object:

    • Move
    • Rotate
    • Resize
    • Add images and videos to displays (monitors, screens, etc.)
    • Adjust material and color
    • Add links and tooltips
    • Add interaction options

Use the close button in the quick menu to end the editing of the object. This will deselect the object and close the right sidebar and quick menu.

Overview of the Left Menu Bar

The left sidebar provides you with general functions:

    1. Space Properties: Here you can set the starting point of the Space Viewer, activate an avatar system, change the space’s scale, add ambient sound, or customize the environment of your space.
    2. Media Uploads: Here you can find already uploaded media like images, PDFs or videos and upload new content to integrate into your space.
    3. Manage Guided Tour: Arrange several navigation points in a specific order – perfect for stations within your space.
    4. AI Environment Generator: Generate a 360-degree panorama environment for your space.
    5. Sound: Toggle sound effects on or off in the Space Editor.
    6. Toggle visibility: Make objects in your view transparent for better overview.
    7. Placement Aid: Show or hide guide lines to help with object placement.
    8. Change camera perspective: Switch the camera view within the Space Editor.

    13. Shows the current camera perspective.

    14. Counter/Indicator: Displays the number of 3D objects, polygons, and textures within your space. These can affect load times. Warnings appear for critical objects.

    Add 3D Objects and Spots

Use the [+] button in the bottom right to add objects and spots:

    1. Access our extensive 3D object library. Depending on your booked package, you can choose from different categories of objects like furniture or decoration and place them in your room.
    2. Add navigation point: Guide your visitors intuitively through your space by setting navigation points to highlight specific content.
    3. Add seating spot: Add a spot where guests can sit within your space.

If you’ve created a custom 3D model, you’ll find it in the 3D object library under the 3D Uploads category. Under 2D Uploads you’ll find your uploaded 2D objects (e.g. 2D avatars or product photos).
